I’m riding Pendragon,” Drax declared, puffing out his chest. “You can’t be the only dragon-rider, runt.”
Taranis smirked. “Oh, I’m sure he’ll love that.”
Moments later, Pendragon took to the sky with Drax barely clinging to the saddle. The great dragon twisted, dipped, then performed a full loop. Drax screamed, flailed… and promptly fell.
For a glorious moment, he free-fell through the clouds, beard flying like a banner of regret.
Then — whoosh! — Tairneanach swooped in, caught him mid-air… and tossed him right back.
The dragons had decided. Drax was now a ball in their favourite game.
